Pictures and ideas we like for the living room.
"Must-Haves"
- some built-ins
- lots of natural light
- windows that open
- somewhere on the first floor
need a powder room and coat closet.
"Nice-to-Haves"
- W - If possible redo the fireplace, so it is not dividing the room but is central design element around which we can create the living room space (e.g. the round fireplace designs in the pictures below).
Fireplaces
W - I like the 2 color design with the fireplace section color going from side to side (kind of like an iMac).

W - This is probably not in our budget, but these are very cool stairs.
Walls, Built-Ins, Etc.
W - Great looking built-in which looks a little different than the typical ones.
M - could look dated later on.

M - Too rustic for me.
W - White wash the beams?
W - Not sure if this is an option, but it looks nice.
